ISSA Marketing Plan
The International Studies Student Association (ISSA) is the official student organization of the International Studies Program at the University of California, San Diego.
I joined ISSA as Director of Marketing in September of 2023. During my time at ISSA, I wrote a marketing plan for the 2023-2024 Academic Year and rebranded the organization, including a logo redesign.

The Problem
ISSA lacked a clear brand identity and its visual design wasn't the strongest. The logo lacked uniqueness, had low readability, and was too cluttered. Graphics on Instagram were created using overused design templates and had inconsistent copywriting. The ISSA brand was not memorable, thus leading to low awareness and membership of the organization.

The Solution
To rebrand ISSA in order to establish a consistent and memorable brand identity.
Logo Redesign
Logos were co-designed with Director of Public Relations, Emily Ninh. ISSA is an organization for International Studies majors, so keeping the globe iconography was important to us. We also wanted to keep the blue theme from the old logo, since the color is often associated with Earth.

ISSA was complety rebranded before the beginning of UCSD's 2023-2024 Academic Year. By New Years, ISSA's Instagram presence had grown significantly!
